Our Story

The Kouzzina has been a long-standing staple in the community as a family-run establishment.
With the team sharing an inherited passion for Greek and Italian cuisine.

In August of 1970, Junior arrived in Sudbury as a teenager from his home village of Metamorfosis, Greece. He spent his early career as a cook in his uncle’s small restaurant. After meeting his wife, they had the opportunity to join a Sudbury born dining concept. Although both young and inexperienced, their passion for the industry and their exuberance for the challenge taught them well.

With Junior's Greek heritage and Leslie's strong Italian roots, it was a perfect match for food, wine and hospitality. They are both actively involved in the busy kitchen and dining room. Over the past few years, the kids have joined Mom & Dad and can most often be found either working or visiting their extended family at The Kouzzina.
